I create artwork depicting landscapes from actual places where I have collected data. I often reconfigure motifs that are connected with differing places and contexts; conceiving a world that has a certain sense of unrest in the air. I may be acting as a filter that reflects the real world, or perhaps I am simply rendering the fundamental madness and anxiety lurking in our everyday lives. I hope that my work is seen as a depiction of the common sensations that anyone can perceive in the world around them.

Things I see in everyday life and memories they bring back. I want to capture them as they become entangled inside myself and transform into new images.
Sometimes even the most insignificant, momentary experiences turn into powerful imageries if their memories - even just pieces of them - linger on in mind long enough. Perhaps these are all fictitious imageries that derived out of reality but they often contain more truth than reality. For me, being more real than reality to be the single most important creative goal.
I strive to create a fantastic visual space by combining objectivity and my "reality," which is based on my visions and imagination. I am secretly hoping that something unexpected like a sign or an omen will appear in my work.

I create my work with emphasis on entertainment nature of art that is founded on "stories" as well as on creation of visual images that are mentally stimulating.

"Stories" are expressed by fully utilizing unique decorative style, playfulness and aesthetic selectiveness inherent in Japanese DNA. By reintroducing certain symbolic objects or scenes in paintings, I present my stories as the mirror image of reality laced with fascinating riddles and metaphors.

In working with 3-D pieces, I use the glowing effects of metal foils and mineral pigments to create an atmosphere where profound spiritual depth normally associated with Buddhist paintings can be felt. Influenced by the spirit and teachings of Rimpa - a school of aesthetics that included many of prominent artists of the Edo period - that emphasize visual delights, I am determined to establish and further advance relationship between two images (one being the mirror image of the other) in a visually arousing manner.

I believe visual expressions that appeal to the very basic human senses are what we need in today's chaotic society. It's this kind of ideas that form my creative core.
