Gallery Hirota Fine Arts is pleased to present the solo exhibition "Tomoyuki Kambe -Precious ones-" from 27th May (Fri) to 11th,June (Sat) 2022.
Work of Kambe Tomoyuki has the original scenery in Nagara River which locates in his hometown of Gifu Prefecture, and he started working from featuring the river and the small creatures that inhabits it.
He set the theme "life" at the end of 2013, and has been actively depicting the world of small creatures who are sincere about "living", earnestly and sometimes positively in any environment.
This is his first exhibition in six years, and here we present his new artworks depicting the scenery that surrounds living creatures around us, which enable us to see the connection and various similarities between our society and those small lives live in, which shares a new form of society that we have not noticed.
"What I am trying is to depict "current" nature which both invasive and native species coexist.
By observing small world of nature, I get a sense to see the aspects of bigger world of it.
I expect to have my work form a modern painting by bridging to the macro from the micro." Tomoyuki Kobe
This is his first solo exhibition in six years at Gallery Hirota Fine Arts.
We are planning to exhibit 9 artworks, including a large one of folding screen(a right side with 6 panels).
