Chika Nozaki Exhibition: Continuing Scenery

Dates: Friday, May 26 - Saturday, June 10, 2023
Venue: Gallery Hirota Fine Art

Gallery Hirota Bijutsu is pleased to present "Chika Nozaki: Continuing Scenery" from May 26 (Fri) to June 10 (Sat), 2023.

Nozaki's recent major theme has been "What is life and what is existence? has been Nozaki's main theme in recent years, and since his solo exhibition last year, her has continued to paint while earnestly confronting this question.
In the past, she has focused on the "cycle of life" as the root of her work, but now she seems to be trying to capture the moment when something like an "outline of existence" emerges beyond that.
Her main motifs are familiar flowers, plants, and landscapes, but she is also trying to express the "accumulation of time" that lies behind them.

The title of the exhibition is "Continuing Landscape," which was inspired by the artist's desire to cherish the mysterious feeling that every single life that has ever existed, exists now, and will exist in the future is a part of the world.
We hope you will take the opportunity to visit the exhibition.
