During this period, we will hold a joint exhibition of Natsuki Urushihara and Makoto Terauchi.
Natsuki Urushihara was born in 1977, majoring in Japanese painting, while Makoto Terauchi was born in 1980, majoring in oil painting. They are in same generation, however they have some common points in production, so we decided to hold a joint exhibition of them. What their common points are, they try to depict a scene beyond the three-dimensional world we know. Although the objection and way of them is not equal, even though, they will draw out new world that trigger the invisible things that everyone has experienced and understood through sensory feathers.
We will display watercolor, acrylic and other works, total about 10 new works in this exhibition. Please be sure to come and see them.
Comment of Natsuki Urushihara:
"Through story depiction extracted from the daily life around me, I tried to show how world exists and its scenery contained. I think that this time I don't replace objects as materials into painting space, but by grasping existence and atmosphere around there, I will create more abundant and irreplaceable scenery. "
Comment of Makoto Terauchi:
"The scenery seen through the window would be different from the previous one.' The circumstance that people feel "granted" change to "ignored", it will let us confused and uneasy. However on the other hand, I regard that this kind of feelings can make people more sensitive. As a result, it would be easy to grasp essence of things, and it might also be an opportunity to pick up things that were invisible and neglected in the past. Therefore, I mixed scenery memories and records of certain days I had, tried to search new possibilities and values through dialogue with the colors and shapes appearing in the natural state. Currently I still continue the way and produce new works."
