Although the paintings themselves do not move, I believe that they are able to retain a great deal of the emotional fluctuation that is difficult to preserve in photographs or moving images. Based on this premise, I attempted to realize a story through a series of paintings with a sense of continuity. The scene I dealt with this time is simply the movement of "grabbing and moving the laundry. By cutting out parts of this movement, a common, everyday scene emerges as something special. I chose scenes that I think contain a story in such subtleties as the moment when their eyes meet or the angle at which they look different from their usual expressions. I hope that this work will have some kind of effect different from that of a photograph or an animation.
